Publish from Claude
Whatever you drafted in a Claude chat or Project — an SOP, a policy, a help article, release notes — can become a hosted, branded documentation page without you copying a single word.
How it works
- Connect OpenDocs to Claude. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Settings > Connectors, find OpenDocs in Claude’s connector directory, and choose Connect. This works on every plan, Free included. (Claude Code connects with an OpenDocs API key instead, which needs the Enterprise or Compliance plan.)
- Open or continue the chat, or Project, where you wrote the content — an SOP, a policy, a help article, release notes, anything.
- Ask Claude to publish it as a page, naming the space you want it in. See the example prompts below for the exact phrasing.
- Claude drafts the page, picks a title, and asks before doing anything that removes or replaces existing content.
- Review the page in OpenDocs, or ask Claude to keep refining it. Every version is saved, so nothing you had before is lost.

What happens when Claude publishes a page
Every page Claude creates or edits is saved as a page revision, attributed Claude (MCP), alongside every revision made by a person — so you can see exactly what changed and who or what changed it. Before Claude replaces a page’s content, it keeps the previous version, and it asks before actions that remove or replace content, such as deleting a page or overwriting its text.
Claude only acts inside the organization you chose when you connected it, and only with your role’s permissions — a Viewer role can only read. If a published page doesn’t turn out the way you wanted, open its revisions in OpenDocs and restore an earlier version, or simply ask Claude to restore it for you.

Does Claude publish pages without me reviewing them?
Claude asks before actions that remove or replace content, and every page it creates or edits is saved as a new page revision. You can review, edit, or restore any earlier version before or after it goes live.
Can I ask Claude to draft a page without publishing it?
Yes. Tell Claude to draft the page and leave it unpublished, for example by saying not to publish it yet. It will create the page in OpenDocs so you can review it before you or Claude publish it.
What if I want to undo something Claude published?
Every change Claude makes is saved in page history, attributed to Claude (MCP), so you can open the page's revisions and restore an earlier version at any time, or ask Claude to restore it for you.
Do I need a paid plan to publish from Claude?
Connecting claude.ai or Claude Desktop and publishing through them works on every plan, including Free. Publishing from Claude Code needs an OpenDocs API key, which requires the Enterprise or Compliance plan.
